So I gave a quiz today, that didn’t count at all toward the grade. I said “I’m just doing this to get a feel for where we are, how much more material to cover before break, and how thorough to make the test.”
“So it doesn’t count?”
Not for the grade, no. But it will have a huge bearing on how the next week goes.
“But it’s not in the grade?”
“Then why are we doing it?”
Please don’t tell me that learning for the sake of learning is a lost practice…
