More regularly, really?

“Andrew!” you may say…”I thought you were going to start posting more regularly?  You said so yourself.  You broke your resolution!”  Ode to my favorite high school teacher here:  There’s a method to my madness (incidentally he was not a math teacher.  go figure).  Anywho, I made a conscious effort to not post until today.  I only had 6 posts in June.  For a 30 day month, so I only posted once every 5 days, on average.  Well, you can figure out where my brain was going with this (if not, email me or leave a comment).  Blogging and measures of central tendency.  Can I post every day from here on out and truly say it was “more regular” than in June?  Can I post 7 times today and say it?  Why should we have mean, median, and mode?  Is there a connection between them and my rambling?  I think so, but let me know if I’m off base.

If I asked for pie a la median for dessert, do you think they’d make extra effort to put the ice cream in the middle?

About Mr. T

Well, I'm interested in math. Teaching it, learning it, describing it, living it. Creating it. Most importantly (to me) is helping others appreciate it as much as I do.
