One, Two, Three, Fore!

I was out golfing yesterday and I got to thinking about my shots.  If it took me 80 shots to cover a course that was 5400 yards, that translates to a mean shot length of 67.5 yards.  All of a sudden I don’t feel so bad about my duffs that went 100 yards.

I also wish I was a better putter.

On another note, I recently got CPR certified by the AHA.  It’s one of those things I am hoping I will never have to use, but it’s nice to know that I have it.  Although I guess I should encourage those with whom I spend time to also get certification.  I doubt I’ll remember the ratio of compression-to-breath if I am not breathing and/or don’t have a heartbeat.

Interestingly – the maneuver to stop people from choking is now called the abdominal thrust.  No more royalties for Dr. Heimlich.  I guess everyone’s feeling the budget crunch.

About Mr. T

Well, I'm interested in math. Teaching it, learning it, describing it, living it. Creating it. Most importantly (to me) is helping others appreciate it as much as I do.
